Assessment Resource Center|
Performance Assessment Scoring CenterARC's Performance Assessment Scoring Center (PASC) currently contracts with national test publishers to score writing and open-ended assessments in reading, math, science, and social studies online. We are also experienced in paper-based scoring. PASC scores a variety of assessment types, including written essays (scored both holistically and analytically), short-answer responses, and extended responses. Our scoring process can be customized to accommodate client-specific or project-specific scoring parameters, special procedures, or project requirements. Professional StaffWe have scoring capacity for up to 200 simultaneous scorers. Our scorers are required to hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and over one-third have advanced degrees. All of our scorers receive general scoring training as well as project-specific training before beginning a project. Our scoring teams work under an experienced team leader. A supervisor oversees scoring of a particular project and works closely with the scorers to resolve any questions that arise. The PASC manager works with supervisors to ensure completion of projects accurately and on time. On-line Scoring SystemPASC uses either ARC's electronic scoring platform or connects with a client's established scoring platform via a T-1 line, Virtual Private Network, or web interface encryption. This allows use of the same scoring software that clients use at other sites or setup of scoring parameters specific to your project needs. For more information on PASC, call 800-366-8232 and ask for the PASC manager, or email arcpasc@missouri.edu. |
