Assessment Resource Center
About ARCMissionThe Assessment Resource Center (ARC) promotes the practice, enhances the understanding, and advances the use of assessment in education, business, and the professions. ARC is dedicated to providing accurate information to individuals and institutions through the development and application of appropriate measurement instruments and research and evaluation services. BackgroundARC is an auxiliary unit within the College of Education of the University of Missouri. For over 75 years we have offered assistance on assessment projects involving from 100 to 500,000 individuals. ARC offers services and products that yield vital information for clients ranging from individual faculty and graduate students to school districts and state agencies to businesses and national certification organizations. We help our clients collect the data they need to make important decisions. ARC employs a full-time staff of 45, approximately 80-200 staff who score open-ended assessments, and a number of regular outside contractors who assist on special projects. ARC maintains cooperative relationships with other departments and research centers at the University. In addition, ARC works with large numbers of teachers, administrators, and others to develop and revise assessment instruments on an on-going basis. Customer service is of utmost importance to the ARC staff. We pride ourselves on offering immediate responses and guidance to client requests and inquiries and providing quick turnaround on orders, scanning and scoring of answer documents, and reporting of results. Our website contains more detailed information on the services we offer, our resources, our clients, and descriptions of current and past projects. |
